☀️ Wrapping Up the First Two Sessions of Summer School! ☀️

Summer School in the Port Washington-Saukville School District isn't your parents' summer school anymore!

Over the past four weeks, our students have been learning, exploring, creating, competing, and making memories through an incredible variety of hands-on experiences. From learning guitar and making music, creative LEGO engineering, outdoor fishing adventures, and strategy games like chess and Monopoly, to Twister tournaments, STEM challenges, and summer fun in the sun, our classrooms have been filled with curiosity, laughter, and meaningful learning.

These experiences are possible because of our outstanding teachers and staff who continue to create engaging opportunities that help students discover new passions, build friendships, and grow in ways that extend far beyond a traditional classroom.

We're excited to keep the momentum going as our final Summer School session begins Monday, July 13! We can't wait to welcome another group of students for more learning, creativity, and fun.

Thank you to everyone who has helped make Summer School another outstanding success in PWSSD!

2026-2027 School Year Registration is open!
Don't know about you, but we're still smiling after Sunday’s beautiful graduation ceremony. The Class of 2026 was one for the record books and are certainly ready to take on whatever lies ahead for them.

It takes a village to get them there however, and we are so grateful for our wonderful Port Washington-Saukville community, teachers, and families who supported them every step of the way.

"Caps off" to the new grads, go make the world a better place!

Happy National School Nurse Day to our very own Abby Bonness!

At PWSSD, our mission is to keep our students focused and future-ready. We know that for our kids to reach their greatest potential, they need to feel safe and healthy first. That’s where Abby’s magic comes in!

Whether she’s expertly applying a colorful bandage, offering a calm word during a busy day, or looking out for the well-being of our entire school community, Abby is a huge part of what makes our schools a great place to be.

Abby, thank you for everything you do to keep our students and staff at their best, especially with all the behind the scenes work that many of us never even see. We hope your day is full of (healthy) snacks and appreciation!

Revitalized PWSSD Education Foundation receives $225,000 Commitment from Vantage Data Centers, Oracle and OpenAI.

Vantage Data Centers announced support for the relaunch of the Port Washington–Saukville School District’s (PWSSD) Education Foundation, alongside Oracle and OpenAI, through a combined $225,000 commitment to strengthen local education and workforce readiness efforts.

Vantage Data Centers, Oracle and OpenAI will each contribute $75,000, for a total commitment of $225,000, as they deepen engagement with the Port Washington–Saukville community. The three companies are actively investing in Port Washington as part of the Lighthouse development being built by Vantage for Oracle and its customer OpenAI.

We are extremely grateful for this donation as it will go directly to benefit our teachers and students over the next several years. The reestablished foundation will provide flexible, community driven funding to invest directly in students and educators and to expand programs aligned with district priorities, helping prepare learners for college, careers and a rapidly evolving workforce.

Building the Foundation, One Note at a Time!

Limited Edition, Genesis, and the Jaguar Singers visited each of our grade schools for their annual tour today. The fourth graders even got in on the action!

This annual visit is all about showing our younger students that they are the future of our music program. Whether they were inspired today to join the Jaguar Singers or have dreams of one day finding their voice in Limited Edition, we want them to know that their musical journey is just beginning.

We know that high levels of student involvement lead to a stronger sense of belonging in our school community - it's one of our strategic goals. We certainly saw that in action today!
Stay tuned later this week as we specifically highlight Limited Edition and their upcoming trip to Nationals in NYC!

Happy Music in Schools Month!

There is no better way to celebrate the power of music education than by highlighting the incredible talent right here in our hallways. We are beyond proud of our dedicated musicians who poured their hearts into their performances at the district WSMA Solo & Ensemble festival this past Saturday.

The results speak for themselves: our PWHS band and choir students took on 38 different events, and an incredible 23 of those are now advancing to the State festival! CONGRATS and keep up the great work!

Congratulations to Grady Karrels on reaching an incredible achievement tonight — 1,000 career points!

In a thrilling regional championship game that came down to the very final seconds, Grady was able to hit this milestone right on his home court, making the moment even more special.
History was also made tonight for Port Washington Boys Basketball. For the first time ever, two players in the same season have reached the 1,000 career point milestone. This is a huge accomplishment and something that only a select few players ever achieve.

Grady, we are incredibly proud of you and all the hard work you’ve put in to reach this moment. Congratulations on an amazing achievement!

First graders ventured out to view First Stage’s rendition of Peter Pan and Wendy. The reviews were resoundingly positive with all the children getting “hooked” the moment the curtain opened! (And a little birdie told us that the bus driver was extremely complimentary of our little darlings and their fabulous behavior. Way to go, Lincoln Lions!)
