WELCOME!
Greetings - and welcome to the 2024-25 school year! My name is Rachel Biertzer, and I have the honor and privilege of serving the Port Washington and Saukville communities as the principal of Port Washington High School (PWHS).
As we journey through the year together, I am confident in our efforts to prepare students for life beyond the walls of Port Washington High School. Together, we are committed to providing all students with a safe place to learn and grow as they strive to reach their greatest potential academically and beyond, leaving high school college and career - and life - ready. As I enter my third year at PWHS, I am continuously impressed with our students, staff, and school communities' commitment to one another, and I am proud to be a part of the Port Washington High School family.
A little about me: Prior to my principalship at PWHS, I was an associate principal at Sheboygan North High School for five years. My career journey started at Oshkosh North High School where I spent nine years teaching English and coaching basketball. I am a proud UW-Oshkosh alum ('08 and '17) and call the Fox Valley area "home" as I was raised in Appleton. When not at school, you'll find me hanging out with my husband, Luke, and golden retrievers, Barton and Houser; attending a rock concert or sporting event; playing a round of golf; hanging out with family and friends; or reading some sort of nonfiction.
Most importantly, thank you for your interest in Port Washington High School and our future - our students. Should you have any questions, feel free to contact me or one of my colleagues.
Better Today. Better Together. Believe.
Anchor Down - Go Pirates!
