Port Washington-Saukville School District is pleased to announce the implementation of the Raptor Visitor Management System, a significant upgrade from traditional paper sign-in methods. This system enhances campus safety for both students and staff by streamlining the check-in process for all visitors and providing real-time alerts. Raptor strengthens campus security by scanning a visitor's driver's license or other government-issued ID and cross-referencing the information with a national sex offender database. If a match is detected, district administrators are immediately notified. Upon clearance, the system prints a visitor badge that includes the visitor's photo, name, date and time of entry, and destination. Additionally, Raptor maintains a comprehensive database of all on-site individuals for security and emergency purposes.

Visitor Proceedures

All visitors, including parents/guardians, contractors/vendors, volunteers, and guest speakers, will use the Raptor System. Visitor ID badges, which are printed on site, must be worn at all times at each PWSSD school building and at PWSSD central offices.

Examples of visitors include:
   - A parent volunteering in a classroom or meeting with a teacher during the school day
   - A parent or community member helping with a class project, orientation, or walkthrough/tour;
   - A guest speaker; a contracted vendor performing authorized work.

Visitors are asked to:
   1) Check-in through the front office of the school or district office building.
   2) Provide a driver’s license or other government-issued photo ID for scanning in the Raptor system;
   3) Receive a printed visitor’s badge before proceeding. The badge is to be worn while on the District/School campus and returned to the office upon departure;
   4) Check out of the school office upon leaving (returning your badge).
   5) Upon subsequent visits, approved guests only have their name typed into the Raptor system to receive a printed visitor’s badge.

This system replaced a previous process where school guests signed in and out on a paper log. We appreciate the patience of our staff and guests when signing in and checking out of our programs. By working together, we can meet our goal of increasing safety and security for students and staff.

PLEASE NOTE:

   - A visitor’s badge will not be necessary for those who visit simply to drop off an item in the office or pick up paperwork. In other words, if you are not requesting access beyond the front offices, you will not be required to present an ID.

   - Raptor DOES NOT replace the Volunteer Application Form and Volunteer Background Check process performed by PWSSD prior to anyone volunteering in the district.

Volunteering at PWSSD Schools

Thank you for your interest in serving as a volunteer to support students in the Port Washington-Saukville School District. PWSSD encourages family members, friends, relatives, caregivers, and community members to get involved. There are many ways to participate! Contact a specific teacher or school office to get involved.

  All volunteers MUST complete BOTH the volunteer application AND background check forms prior starting their service. These forms can be submitted to the appropriate school office.

Note: Please allow up to one week for processing.

What is it?

Raptor revolutionizes school visitor management with cutting-edge technology, ensuring safety and convenience for the entire school community. With advanced verification technology and customizable workflows, Raptor helps enhance safety and ensure a secure and seamless visitor experience at EACH school.

How does it work?

Raptor uses advanced ID scanning technology to verify visitor identities. When a visitor’s ID is scanned, their information is instantly checked against the sex offender registry and custom databases, such as those with custody orders and banned visitor status. If a match is found, school officials are immediately alerted. The system logs all visitor data for efficient tracking and reporting, providing a secure and streamlined check-in process for parents, volunteers, and contractors.
